Zealous ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2026, Acrylic on Canvas, 76.2 × 91.4 cm ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The final artwork created for my solo exhibition SUBLIMITY! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After creating an entirely new body of work, I felt like I needed a piece with more green in the collection for it to feel complete. I began sketching this work from collaged images I had collected/created during my studies in Florence, and it quickly became one of my favourite pieces of the exhibition! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was a real labour of love. I wanted to paint small ornamental elements in the centre of the work, which meant a lot of twisting and turning the canvas—my hand and brush moving in unison with it.

I’ve really enjoyed trying to capture the process of creating each work, as I get to relive the wonderful moments of carving each form out in paint, a deep love of mine 🩷 Also feels quite bizarre to put music behind this video, but the silence was even worse, so hopefully it’s not too distracting 😅 I had to speed the videos up dramatically as well because I paint sooo slowly to achieve my version of perfection! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Zealous is currently on view as part of my solo show SUBLIMITY at Articulate Project Space in Leichhardt. @articulateprojectspace This is the closing weekend! Mystic, a labour of love 💙 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Installation shots from my solo exhibition, SUBLIMITY, at @articulateprojectspace open until 27 September. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mystic was my first experimentation with painting on Perspex, and it has been such a joy to work with. The way it manipulates light, colour and form feels, to me, like a portal into the otherworldly — a quality that has allowed the material to transcend my existing body of work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The star motif took me by surprise while studying in Italy. It wasn’t a motif I had encountered growing up around Greek Orthodox churches, yet it appeared so centrally and consistently throughout the Catholic/Roman churches I visited and studied. The imagery of the star seemed to spread across every corner of these interiors. It was quite eye-opening, and continually made me think about the celestial — the stars, the universe, and our place within it. ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wanted to share a small snippet of the installation process, as it truly is quite a gruelling task to hang Mystic. It requires my entire body, with lots of twists, turns and adjustments to get it hanging perfectly — especially with the addition of the continuous blue lines, which send me mad every time I extend a work but it’s all worth it for the finished piece. 💙 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I do hope you can all come down to see the work in person. Enamoured is currently on display as part of my solo show SUBLIMITY at Articulate Project Space in Leichhardt. The exhibition is open until 27 September, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11am–5pm.

Enamoured was the third painting I created for this new body of work. It was inspired by my time in Milan during my residency at the British School at Rome. I first encountered the Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) on a dark, cold night in December, and its facade had a mysterious, almost ghoulish demeanour that I wanted to capture.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I created a few sketches beforehand, as seen in the last clip, and Enamoured has since become one of my favourite works. The blue facade/form I’ve painted also brings me back to the white forms and facades I used to paint during my time at art school. I felt like I’d moved away from painting exterior facades over the last few years, so Enamoured became my first work exploring these forms again. Thought I’d share some of the behind the scenes of its creation!

In honour of my solo show SUBLIMITY opening tomorrow, I thought I’d share some of the wonderful moments I’ve had in the studio over the last few months preparing this new body of work! ✨

I’m so excited to announce SUBLIMITY, my upcoming solo exhibition at Articulate Project Space, Leichhardt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Bringing together a new body of paintings and installations, the exhibition explores sacred architecture as material representations of utopia. Through colour, geometry and fragmentation, monumental sites are transformed into dreamlike, otherworldly spaces between the spiritual and the imagined.
